Koch looks forward to city-wide campaign
City of Tonawanda, NY (March 30, 2015) — Fourth Ward Councilmember Jenna Koch announced her candidacy for Council President in the City of Tonawanda. “Believe me this announcement came after much discussion with my family and friends.” Koch was elected in November of 2013 as the Fourth Ward Councilmember. “I have been incredibly proud to represent the residents of the 4th ward for the past 15 months and would be humbled to have the residents trust, support, and confidence in this city-wide campaign.” Koch mentions that she is “over the moon excited.”
Councilmember Koch announced her intentions to run for the Council President race after current Council President announced his retirement. “We have a long way to go, but this journey would not be possible without the support of my family and friends.” Koch mentions that this “is a bittersweet moment for me.” Two years ago one of the first people I told I was running for Council was my gram. Today, she is not here for me to call her and tell her the good news. But, I hope that she is with me every step of the way.” Councilmember Koch’s grandmother, Anastasia Holtz passed away this past September.
“I am proud of the accomplishments we have made in this short time and look forward to continuing to serve the residents of the City of Tonawanda.” “The residents of the City of Tonawanda continue to inspire me to work hard, protect their hard earned tax dollars, and be an advocate for them and their famililies."
